The book I read is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. It was written by Jules Verne. At the time he lived, his book was thought of as fiction. Today the things in his book could have really happened. It is mostly set on Captain Nemo’s (Nemo in Latin means "nothing") submarine.
The main character is Monsieur Pierre Aranax, a scientist who studies marine life. He was from Paris, and goes to America to collect samples for a museum. Where there he was invited to join an expedition to hunt for a sea monster.
The expedition looked and looked for the monster. After many days they decide to head back. On the way home they are attacked by it. Monsieur Aranax falls in.
You will have to read the book to find out about the rest.
I have read this book of 236 pages.
P.S. from the secretary: This was a Dover Classic Abridged Version for children.
Thank you, Dalton, for all the time it took to write your paper by hand. It was very neat, too! Your Mama
